Our Mission
OABE’s mission is to advocate for Oregon students, by promoting bilingual education programs, based on solid research, pedagogy and professional development. Our organization prioritizes closing the opportunity gap for English language learners through native language instruction and English language development. OABE values cultural diversity and meaningful family involvement.
We annually hold a conference for those interested in bilingual education issues and trends and the work being done in Oregon and beyond. Please join us on January 12 & 13, 2018 at Lewis and Clark College in Portland!
