2026 School Visits

The DLBE School Visits Program is scheduled for Friday, February 20, 2026.

There are two different strands from which participants can choose:

(a) Elementary

(b) Middle and High School.

OABE will provide transportation and food.

Elementary k-5	Middle School & High School
Elementary A (Bus 1)	Middle School & High School (Bus 3)
Elementary B (Bus 2)

OABE School Visitations 2026

Visiting bilingual programs in Oregon is a great way to gather ideas for your program and preparation. Visit K-12 dual language schools in selected school districts in Oregon during the day. Participants will have various Dual Language Bilingual Education program levels to choose from.

When: February 20, 2026

Potential Schedule:

Morning

Time	Activities
7:45 – 8:00	The participants will arrive at the designated parking location.
8:00 – 8:30	All the participants will depart from the parking lot to the first school location.
8:30	All the participants will arrive at the first school location.
8:30-9:15	School administrators will present on their Dual Language Bilingual Education program. Light snacks and coffee will be provided by OABE.
9:15 – 10:40	Participants will have the opportunity to visit DLBE classrooms.
10:40 – 11:00	Participants will debrief after their first site visit.
11:00	Participants will depart from the first school and board the bus to travel to the following school location.

Afternoon

Time	Activities
11:30	The participants will be arriving at the second school location.
11:30 – 12:30	School administrators will present on their Dual Language Bilingual Education program. Lunch will be provided by OABE. Lunch menu: Burritos de carne asada, chicken, and vegetarian.
12:30 – 2:00	Participants will have the opportunity to visit DLBE classrooms.
2:00 – 2:30	Participants will debrief after their second site visit.
2:30	Participants will board the bus at the second school and travel to the designated parking location.
3:00	The participants should proceed to the assigned parking area upon arrival.
