2017 Winter Institute

The 2017 OAMME/OABE Winter Institute was postponed to April 22. 

The Oregon Association for Bilingual Education (OABE)  is pleased to announce that we are joining forces with the Oregon Alliance for Multilingual Multicultural Education (OAMME)  to host the 2017 OAMME/OABE Winter Institute, April 22nd at Lewis and Clark College!

The OAMME/OABE Winter institute is designed for teachers and administrators engaged in the work of raising achievement for all students through the application of bilingual and culturally responsive pedagogy. Our 2017 conference theme is, “Building Community Through Language & Culture.” We hope to see you there!

Due to the date change, we have reorganized the conference to a one-day event. The program is now available for download.

Important details:

  • January 13th and 14th, 2017
  • 8:00 am – 3:30 pm (Friday)
  • 8:00 am – 3:30 pm (Saturday)
  • 9:00 am – 3:30 pm (Parent Strand – SATURDAY only)
  • Costs for 2-day (Friday & Saturday) conference, $150.00; $90 for Friday or Saturday only
  • Cost for parents and students is $50.
  • All session proposals must be received no later than December 15, 2017.
